Are you looking for a welcoming community as you navigate your baby’s first year? 💛

Whether you’re wondering how to introduce Montessori from the start, looking for practical guidance on weaning and introducing solid foods, or trying to make sense of all the rapid growth happening right now - Montessori Nest is designed for you.

Join us for a supportive 5-week journey where you’ll learn how to:

✨ Build Deep Connection: Understand attachment, how to communicate with your baby, and select objects (including many things that you already have in your home!) that support their natural development.

🍳 Navigate Key Milestones: Get real-world guidance on weaning, expanding solid foods, fine motor skills, and daily routines.

🤸 Support Movement: Watch your baby roll, crawl, and explore using RIE ramps, platforms, and the Pikler triangle.

🤝 Find Your Village: Connect with a warm group of fellow parents and two experienced guides who are here to walk alongside you in these early months.

💬 Get Personal Advice: Includes a private 30-minute 1-on-1 consultation tailored specifically to your family’s needs.

Have you ever wondered what the world looks like from your baby’s height? 🕊️✨
Long before infants understand words, they process the world through their environment. They feel the cool smoothness of polished wood, the weight of a brass bell, the gentle give of a floor mirror, and the warm sunlight across a clean rug.

At Montessori Nest, we don’t just fill a room with toys. Every single material on our low shelves is thoughtfully chosen for developing hands and minds.

But Montessori Nest is more than a prepared environment for your baby, it’s a sanctuary for you. A place to slow down, observe your child’s blossoming independence, and connect with a community of like-minded parents navigating these precious early months together.

💬 Fall Parent-Infant Cohorts are now open for registration!
🗓️ Sessions Run: Wednesdays & Saturdays
📍 Location: Cupertino

Come sit with us, slow down, and see the world through your baby’s eyes. 🌿

Why telling a story does something reading a book never can. 🧠👇

Early book exposure is wonderful, but oral storytelling predates the written word for a reason. When there are no pictures to rely on, your baby’s brain has to hold onto your voice, track your rhythm, and picture the story all on its own.

Plus, live storytelling forces back-and-forth eye contact, syncing your speech rhythm with their natural body pace.

Keep reading those board books but don’t forget the power of your voice!

Close your eyes and reach into your bag. You already know which key is which.
That knowing starts earlier than you’d think. Long before toddlers understand shapes with their hands, they understand them with their mouths. So we offer work like this to carry them gently from one to the other.

Small hands learning to see in the dark. 🗝️

There’s a reason we reach for water when a little one is having a hard day.
Water absorbs frantic energy. It bends and flows without resistance, asking nothing in return while giving hands and mind endless room to work together.
When we add a tool like this squeezer, we give that effort a purpose. The child pours, presses, watches, and settles.
Water works because it meets them exactly where they are. 💧

The most important part of “doing” Montessori at home isn’t the doing. It is the seeing.

Helping our children become confident and capable involves a challenging mix of being present, having firmness, and letting go. But the more we learn how and when to step back, the more we can lead them with love.

This reflection is a little piece from Chapter 3 of our guide, The Art of Observation, which is all about shifting our mindset and giving ourselves practical tools to connect with our children on a deeper level.

Touch is the first sense we ever develop. 🌿

It’s how we first say: I see you, you’re part of my world.

Wiping a single leaf, slowly and carefully , with the same tenderness we’d bring to holding a newborn.
This is how we model caring for another and it is the heart of Montessori.
We invite the children to care for the earth not as something we own, but as family.

We don’t often associate toddlers with stillness. 💧
Early childhood can feel like constant motion — and yet, given the right material, something shifts. A water dropper. A row of small holes. A single drop, placed with precision.
In the pursuit of that precision, their focus narrows, the whole body centers just to meet the work in front of them. The material itself becomes the silent guide.

There is growth in motion. And there is growth in stillness, too.
