EYG Camps Are Next Week

We have two 3-day camps running July 6–8 at the Sport Stable.

Grades 3–5: Essential Skills Camp
For young players who need confidence, fundamentals, and a better feel for the game.

Grades 6–8: Player Prep Camp
For middle school players who want to handle pressure, make better decisions, and become more game-ready.

EYG is simple.

EYG summer basketball training has started, and we had a great first week in the gym.

The players worked hard, competed, and got better.
Now we keep going.

Our summer programs continue through June and July at both Blue Sport Stable and Northglenn Rec.

Day 1 of our Point Guard Program was a great start.

Today’s focus was touch finishing — helping players finish around the basket when a normal layup is not there.

We worked on:

Two-foot floaters
One-foot floaters
Reverse roll finishes
Mini hook finishes

Each workout will progress from the first.

Then we put those finishes into live 1v1 and 1v1 + 1 situations.
That matters because players do not just need drills.

They need to learn how to read the defender, feel pressure, see the help defender, and choose the right finish in a real game situation.

Point guards need a complete skill set.

They have to handle the ball.

Score.
Create for teammates.
Change pace.
Protect the ball.
Defend.

That is what we are building in this program.

One day at a time.
One skill at a time.
One game situation at a time.

Northglenn Families — Our EYG Basketball Camps Start Soon

Our first camp at the Northglenn Rec Center starts June 8.

These camps are perfect for boys and girls who want to:

Summer is a great time for players to grow.

The EYG Scoring Academy is a 3-day training experience for 6th–8th grade players who want to become more confident, skilled, and effective scorers in games.

This program is built around purposeful reps, live coaching, and game-speed situations so players can learn how to score when a defender is actually involved.

Players will work on:

✅ Creating separation
✅ Finishing under pressure
✅ Making quicker decisions
✅ Improving footwork and pace
✅ Understanding spacing and shot selection

We have two middle school camps this summer, but they are not the same.

EYG Player Prep Camp is for players who want to become more complete.

Players will work on ball handling, finishing, shooting, passing, spacing, footwork, decision-making, and competitive play.

This is a great fit for players who want to feel more confident and prepared in real games.

EYG Scoring Academy is for competitive players who want to become better scorers.

Players will work on attacking defenders, creating separation, finishing under pressure, shot selection, pace, and scoring against live defense.

This is a better fit for players who already have some skill and are ready for a more focused scoring challenge.

Simple way to think about it:

Player Prep Camp = become a better all-around player.
Scoring Academy = become a better scorer.

Both camps are structured, competitive, and built to help skills show up in games.
