A birth doula provides emotional and physical comfort and informational support to a woman during her pregnancy and birth. Postpartum doulas provide care for mothers in the weeks after birth, assistance with breastfeeding, and instruction in newborn care. Doulas work with a woman’s partner and/or family members to create a complete, supportive care team. Having a birth doula present for continuous labor support has been shown to improve outcomes and decrease unnecessary medical interventions. Postpartum doula services can help relieve stress, facilitate bonding and breastfeeding, and decrease the incidence of postpartum depression. Placenta encapsulation
Placenta encapsulation services are available utilizing the raw method. In the raw method the placenta is simply cleaned and dehydrated. Placenta preparation can be done in my facilities or in the clients’ own home. I am happy to discuss the benefits of different methods and locations of preparation with you to assist you in making the choice that suits you best.
