Fireworks can be exciting, but they can also cause serious injuries—especially to little hands and curious eyes. Keep these safety tips in mind as you celebrate:

✨ Leave fireworks to responsible adults.
✨ Watch fireworks from a safe distance.
✨ Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby.
✨ Never allow children to handle or light fireworks, including sparklers.
✨ Comfort pets who may be frightened by the loud noises.

💧 Stay Hydrated This Summer! ☀️

Water is essential for growing bodies, especially during the hot summer months!

Did You Know?

💦 Children can become dehydrated faster than adults.
💦 Thirst is a sign they may already be mildly dehydrated.
💦 Most children should drink water throughout the day—not just when they're thirsty.
💦 Fruits and vegetables like watermelon, strawberries, cucumbers, and oranges also help keep kids hydrated.
💦 Active kids need extra water before, during, and after sports or outdoor play.

Signs of Dehydration
Dry mouth or cracked lips
Dark yellow urine
Headache
Dizziness
Fatigue
Fewer wet diapers in infants or less frequent urination in older children
Crying with few or no tears
Hydration Tips

🥤 Carry a reusable water bottle.
🌳 Take frequent shade and water breaks during outdoor activities.
🍉 Offer water-rich fruits and vegetables.
🚫 Limit sugary drinks and sodas.
👶 Breastfed and formula-fed infants under 6 months generally do not need extra water unless directed by their pediatrician.

Healthy kids stay hydrated! Make drinking water part of your family's daily routine to help everyone stay happy, healthy, and active all summer long.
