Employee of the Month: Amy ❤️

This month, we’re celebrating Amy, who has been part of The Overlook family for a little over a year! Amy comes to work each day with one goal in mind: serving our residents and making a difference in their lives.

Amy is always willing to lend a helping hand, no matter what the task may be. She is motivated by a simple belief: treat others with respect because you never know what someone may be going through.

When she’s not at The Overlook, Amy enjoys learning how to play new musical instruments and hopes to inspire her children to make a meaningful impact in the senior living industry someday.

Amy aspires to continue growing, learning, and becoming the best server she can be for our residents. Her caring heart and willingness to help make her a wonderful part of our team!

Prost! Prost! Prost! 🇩🇪

We had a WUNDERBAR time celebrating some German history and kicking off October with an unforgettable Oktoberfest here at The Overlook at Suwanee! 🍂
From German b**rs and German w**e to delicious pretzels, b**r cheese, sauerkraut, and sausage, our residents enjoyed a taste of Germany!
We even had live German music to make the celebration extra special! 🎶
It was an evening full of great food, music, laughter, and wonderful memories!

⭐ Meet Marv Gage, October Resident of the month!

If you’re looking for good conversation, a card game, or someone who knows how to solve a problem—Marv is your guy! Marv has been part of The Overlook family for 5 years and brings plenty of personality, wisdom, and helpful advice to our community.

Originally from Rochester, NY, Marv graduated from the University of Rochester with a degree in Accounting and Finance. He and his late wife shared 68 wonderful years together and raised three children.

These days, Marv stays busy enjoying breakfast with the guys, card games, bingo, Mahjong, movies, and baseball! He especially enjoys helping fellow residents with questions and finding solutions when a problem comes his way.

Marv describes himself as dedicated, helpful, and always willing to learn. His advice? Respect others, listen more than you talk, and whatever your job is—do it well!

One thing is certain: Marv is always ready to lend a helping hand, share some wisdom, or join in a good game! We’re lucky to have him as part of our Overlook family! ❤️

We kick off October with a 90s FRIENDS-themed Happy Coffee Hour!
Our residents enjoyed hot cups of coffee, delicious donut holes, and plenty of laughs as we brought a little piece of the 90s back to The Overlook!
It was a Central Perk-worthy afternoon filled with good coffee, sweet treats, and even sweeter people! ☕️🤍

Friends, coffee, and donuts… what more could we ask for?!
