This week has been another hot one! Make sure to stay hydrated and know the signs and symptoms of dehydration and heat exhaustion - at Emanuel Medical Center we are ready to help with any complications you may have!

☀️ Georgia summers are no joke! 💧

Did you know that dehydration is often the first step toward heat exhaustion? Knowing the warning signs early can help prevent a medical emergency.

Take a minute to review the symptoms and share it with your family and friends—you never know who might need this reminder.

Protect yourself by:
💦 Drinking water throughout the day (don't wait until you're thirsty!)
🌳 Taking breaks in the shade or air conditioning
🧢 Wearing lightweight clothing
🚨 Seeking medical attention if symptoms become severe or don't improve after cooling down and rehydrating

Whether you're working outdoors, enjoying a ballgame, spending time at the lake, or simply doing yard work, a little prevention goes a long way.

Severe bleeding can become life-threatening in just minutes, but with the right training, anyone can make a difference before emergency responders arrive.

The STOP THE BLEED® program teaches simple, lifesaving techniques to help control bleeding in an emergency. We encourage everyone in our community to sign up for this free training opportunity through Region 5 Trauma Advisory Council.

After completing the training, you'll be asked to complete a brief survey. If you'd like to support Emanuel Medical Center, please select Emanuel Medical Center when asked which hospital should receive injury prevention kits.

Your participation not only equips you with lifesaving skills but also helps bring valuable safety resources back to our community.

Great news for our community! 🎉

Emanuel Medical Center is honored to receive a $110,038 grant from Georgia's Rural Center to expand cardiac and pulmonary services through the purchase of a new echocardiogram system and bronchoscopy equipment. This investment will help us continue providing advanced, high-quality care close to home for the patients and families we serve.

A special thank you to Georgia's Rural Center and everyone who supports rural healthcare. Together, we're strengthening healthcare in Emanuel County and the surrounding communities.

We love this time of year! Back off a long vacay and getting riled up for this wonderful event! It's our 4th Annual One Fore One Challenge!

Think you've got game? Prove it...with ONE club. That's right. Pick your weapon wisely, because you'll be married to it for the entire round.

This isn't just golf. It's survival of the fittest...or maybe the sneakiest.

Mulligans? Definitely.
Bribery? We might know a guy.
Cheating? Not only allowed...it's practically a fundraising strategy! (Within the event rules, of course.)

Bring your cash, cards and competitive spirit then choose wisely. There will be laughs, questionable ethics, spectacular shots, and terrible decisions. That's golf baby!

Who would have thought a broomstick and a few hangers could bring so much laughter and fun? 💙 Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest smiles and the sweetest memories. Our residents at ECNH had an absolute blast!

Fridays call for BINGO! 🎉 Our residents always look forward to a fun afternoon of games, laughter, and friendly competition.

If anyone would like to donate Bingo prizes, we would be so grateful! Small items such as snacks, candy, shampoo, body wash, puzzle books, k-cups and flavored creams for our coffee bar, or other fun goodies help make each game extra special for our residents.
