We are excited to announce resident families are invited to celebrate our country's 250th birthday with us! This Friday starts off w a singalong and exercise in AL from 10-11am. We will host a singalong and exercise in Memory Care from 11am-12pm. A picnic lunch will be served in both Dining Rooms at noon. *** If resident family members are interested in eating with us for Friday lunch, please call the office by 12noon Tuesday.*** (We are sorry for the short notice. We will do better on timing for all future events from now on.) AL residents will have refreshments and a NYC inspired fireworks display shown on tv at 2:00 in Dining Room. Memory Care residents will be treated to refreshments and a fireworks tv show closer to the 4:00pm hour. Both AL and Memory Care are invited to watch a fun movie either before or after the fireworks. We can't wait to celebrate 250 years with all our guests!!! ***Remember to call the office asap before Tuesday at 12noon for reservations.***

Lets get our "patriotic" on!
The Landings Community is getting excited about our country's 250th birthday! We were hoping all our family, friends, and volunteers could help us celebrate! If you have any like new patriotic decorations or decorations from the store you can buy to donate to us, we would love your support!
We are looking for red, white, and blue ribbons, fabric, flowers, patriotic signs, streamers, flag sticks, flag buntings and banners, and any other patriotic decorations you may have or buy! We could also use patriotic tablecloths, plates, cups, and napkins, balloons, etc. Our "Ocean" and "Dock" Party Celebration will be on Friday, July 3rd, if you are able to donate party food, drinks, etc, that day. If you can help us out, please bring the patriotic decorations to Lisa Harlow, Life Enrichment Coordinator, Monday thru Friday during normal business hours. Any volunteers that would like to help out with the decorating or serving at the party, please let us know in the next few days. We look forward to celebrating our country's birthday! We appreciate all of your support and friendship more than you know.

Here's a message from our new Life Enrichment Coordinator!

Dear Residents, Families, and Staff,
I hope this greeting finds you well. My name is Lisa. It is an honor to say I am the new Life Enrichment Coordinator of The Landings of Swansboro or "The Activity Lady"! I am thrilled to join this happy and friendly community. Everyone has been so welcoming and I look forward to getting to know each of you.

Here's a little bit about me--I am from northern Virginia, raised in a military family, and came to Carolina to attend Elon University. I never looked back and settled with my husband of 31 years, Jeff, in the Winston-Salem area as a classroom teacher until 2015. We have one beautiful 17 yr old daughter named Rebecca. It was then that
I chose to leave the classroom to try something new! I took a CNA class and loved it so much that while working as a PCA, I decided to take the Activity Director course, too. I became Activity Director for 6 wonderful years at a different community in Morehead City. Then, my family and I became missionaries for almost two years overseas. We have recently returned to the U.S., and I am so excited to be joining the Landings of Swansboro in this new role! Relationships have always been first priority to me. I truly enjoy using my creative spirit and positive energy to fulfill the needs of my senior friends! I am excited to work alongside our dedicated team to ensure that this community remains a place where everyone feels welcome, heard, and excited about participating in the activities of their choice.
In the next few weeks, I hope to be able to meet all of you, make new friends, and practice learning all your names. In the meantime, please feel free to get my attention in the halls or activities. Let me know how I can best meet your needs. If families and visitors are here to see their loved ones, please feel free to find me and introduce yourselves! I look forward to us being on the same page providing the very best in activities and friendships for your loved one. If you would like to attend activities or volunteer, we welcome you to join us! We have fun here and we can't wait for you to join us. I am looking forward to the opportunity we have to provide activities for our seniors!

Our residents at The Landings of Swansboro Memory Care had a wonderful time getting creative today! 🌷

We spent the morning making beautiful tissue paper tulips, and the room was filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of color. Activities like these aren’t just fun they help spark creativity, encourage connection, and bring so much joy to everyone involved.

It’s always special to see our residents so engaged and proud of what they create. These lovely tulips are a bright reminder that a little creativity can go a long way! 💐

🐰🥕 Hops, tails, and carrots galore… guess who knocked on our door?! 🥕🐰

That’s right — the Easter Bunny made a special visit yesterday, and the fun was off the charts! 🎉

From big smiles to lots of laughs, our residents had an egg-stra special time celebrating together. 💛

A HUGE thank you to Michele Berry with Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center for making this happen — you were absolutely amazing, and our residents enjoyed every single minute!

We loved seeing so many happy faces and sweet moments. 🐣✨
