My “question of the week” on the dry‑erase board has really made people pause. Sure, being nice and being smart matter — but what we’re all craving more of is EMPATHY!
Here’s a small prompt to help us start thinking about it.

My “question of the week” on the dry‑erase board has really made people pause. Sure, being nice and being smart matter — but what the world needs and is craving more of is EMPATHY!

July 1st already. Half the year behind us, half still unfolding. I’m reminding myself — and anyone who needs it — that there’s still time to soften, to shift, to breathe, to choose differently.

I looked out my office window today and saw two people sharing a kiss, completely lost in their own little world. It was such a simple, tender moment — and it reminded me how love shows up quietly in everyday places.

I’ve been thinking about how often society overlooks fathers — especially in stores, ads, and everyday spaces where mothers are centered and dads become an afterthought. As a therapist, I get to witness the tenderness, effort, and emotional labor so many men quietly carry.
To my clients who are fathers: I hope today brings you rest, ease, and a moment to feel seen.

May is Mental Health Month, and this year’s theme is “More Good Days, Together.”

A “good day” looks different for each of us — sometimes it’s energy and connection, and other times it’s simply getting out of bed and showing up for yourself.

As a community, we can create more good days by checking in on one another, practicing patience, and making space for real conversations about mental wellness.

Here’s to more good days — individually and together.

Feeling "out of sync"? Look up. ✨

There is a lot of talk about the planets aligning this week, but let’s bring that energy down to earth.

In therapy, we often work on "alignment"—ensuring our actions, values, and emotions are pointing in the same direction.

When the world feels chaotic, mindfulness is the gravity that keeps us centered. It allows us to observe the "orbits" of our repetitive thoughts without getting lost in them. "You are not the storm; you are the sky."

Whether the stars are aligned or not, you have the power to create your own internal orbit of calm. How are you checking in with yourself today?

Researchers looking into family stress found that many mothers report higher daily stress levels from their partners than from parenting itself. The reasons are often linked to mental load, communication gaps, and unequal sharing of responsibilities rather than the children’s behavior.

Experts say kids usually bring predictable challenges, but relationship dynamics, expectations, and lack of support can create ongoing tension. When household duties, planning, and emotional labor fall on one person, stress builds quickly.

The takeaway is not about blame, but about awareness. Open communication, teamwork, and shared responsibilities can make family life healthier for everyone.

I saw this post and felt it needed to be amplified for the holidays!

This season is about connection, not comparison. Let's focus less on the size of the gifts, the decorations, the house, and more on the true meaning:

For the faithful: Celebrating the birth of Jesus.

For everyone: Sharing love, giving thanks, and appreciating what we have.

Join the challenge! Drop a ❤️ if you're joining the challenge! 🎄🎁
