“Coming into the WIC office, I was greeted by friendly faces and was able to apply right away. Being on WIC as a pregnant mother, especially a mother who wasn’t working at the time, was a huge help to me not only financially but nutritionally as well. I was able to get fruits and vegetables, juice, milk, fish, and whole grains.

So far this year, 21 children have died in the U.S. from being left in hot cars. Every one of these deaths is preventable.
