ππ A Message from Mending Hearts Counseling Center ππ
Our hearts are with everyone affected by the tragic events at the Old West End Festival. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims, their families, friends, first responders, and all members of our community who have been impacted.
In the aftermath of traumatic events, it is normal to experience a wide range of emotions, including fear, sadness, anger, confusion, anxiety, or even numbness. Children, teens, and adults may each process these events differently.
As we come together as a community, we encourage everyone to be gentle with themselves and others. Take time to check in on loved ones, listen without judgment, maintain routines when possible, and seek support if emotions begin to feel overwhelming.
Remember:
β’ It is okay to not be okay.
β’ It is okay to take a break from the news and social media.
β’ It is okay to ask for help.
Healing happens through connection, compassion, and support.
At Mending Hearts Counseling Center, we are committed to supporting children, families, and individuals as they navigate difficult emotions and experiences. If you or someone you love is struggling, please know that you do not have to face it alone.
Together, we can begin to heal.
π Compassion. Connection. Healing. π
