Today, our team traveled through the decades, celebrating Halloween in style with looks from the Roaring 20s, the groovy 70s, the rad 80s, and the iconic 90s. 🕺✨

While we had fun stepping back in time, our mission remains focused on the future, helping patients on their transplant journeys and honoring the incredible gift of organ donation.

We are deeply grateful to the Organ Donor Council for their hard work, dedication, and for including our Transplant team in this meaningful tribute.

As we celebrate the gift of transplantation, we also recognize the profound truth that behind every transplant is a tragedy, a life lost, and a family experiencing unimaginable loss.

To our donor families: we honor your loved ones, we acknowledge your sacrifice, and we are forever grateful for the generosity that gives others the gift of life. Your loved ones’ legacies live on in ways that words can never fully express.

💙 Celebrating Healthcare Quality Week! 💚

Transplant Quality is more than metrics and regulatory requirements. It’s about using data, collaboration, and continuous improvement to help ensure every transplant patient receives safe, high-quality care.

So much of quality happens behind the scenes, but its impact can be seen throughout the entire transplant journey.

This past Sunday, several members of our transplant team had the privilege of participating in the 2026 National Kidney Foundation Annual Kidney Walk in Rochester.

It was an incredible day filled with hope, connection, and a shared commitment to supporting kidney patients, transplant recipients, living donors, and their families. It was a reminder of the strength and resilience of the kidney community and of the importance of coming together to raise awareness and support those touched by kidney disease.

The Upstate Transplant & Nephrology Symposium brought together transplant and nephrology professionals for an afternoon of education, collaboration, and innovation in patient care. Attendees heard expert perspectives on advances in transplantation, nephrology, and living donation, including an inspiring keynote presentation from Dr. Ron Shapiro of Mount Sinai.
