Since men naturally have lower brows, you don’t want them disrupt their natural look. The goal is to make them a more rested version of themselves, not transform them into something new.

Filler can be a controversial topic. It certainly has its place at times, but can also cause a lot of unintended issues.

This patient had longstanding filler from an outside aesthetics office. She presented to me with concerns of the filler no longer providing her with the results she was hoping for. Instead of masking hollows, the filler was creating mounding of the lids, asymmetry and swelling.

Filler can be a great option for those with under eye hollows WITHOUT fat herniation. However, as we age, it is inevitable for our lower lid fat pads to create bulging over the hollowed areas. Filler is NOT a good option for those with hollows AND fat herniation.

For this patient, we started by removing the filler from her lids so we could focus on the natural fat pads. Then we performed a lower lid blepharoplasty (in addition to her uppers) to help sculpt her lids and provide her with with a beautiful, natural result.
