Traffic Advisory for Friday, October 9

President Trump is scheduled to visit downtown Syracuse tomorrow, which may result in increased traffic, road closures, and travel delays in and around the city.

Veterans and visitors traveling to the Syracuse VA Medical Center are encouraged to allow extra travel time for appointments and plan accordingly. Please use caution and be prepared for potential changes to normal traffic patterns.

Today, we had the privilege of welcoming New York State VFW Auxiliary President Belinda Cole to the Syracuse VA Medical Center.

Mrs. Cole met with our Executive Leadership Team to discuss resources available to Veterans and learn more about the services and programs offered by the Syracuse VA.

Strong partnerships with Veterans Service Organizations and community leaders are essential to ensuring Veterans know about and have access to the care, benefits, and resources they have earned. By working together, we strengthen our shared commitment to serving Veterans and building a stronger network of support throughout our community.

This week, we proudly celebrate National Healthcare Food Service Workers Week and recognize the outstanding contributions of our Nutrition and Food Services (NFS) Food Operations Team at the Syracuse VA Medical Center.

Every day, our team works diligently to prepare and deliver great meals while providing exceptional customer service to our hospitalized Veterans. Their dedication, compassion, teamwork, and commitment to quality make a meaningful difference in the Veteran experience and support the delivery of excellent health care.

ATTENTION WATERTOWN VETERANS Important Specialty Care Location Update

Effective October 5th

The Watertown 2 VA Specialty Clinic (CANI Building), currently located at 19472 U.S. Route 11, Watertown, NY, will be relocated to the Fort Drum Guthrie Army Health Clinic (GAHC) VA Specialty Care Building at:

11050A Mt. Belvedere Boulevard, Fort Drum, NY

The move to Fort Drum will provide Veterans access to modernized federal clinic infrastructure with upgraded capabilities, and treatment space designed to best support high-quality specialty care delivery and the evolving needs of our Veterans.

What Veterans Need to Know:
✅ All specialty care services will continue at the new location.
✅ Veterans will continue seeing the same VA specialty providers and care teams.
✅ The relocation is designed to enhance the environment and resources available for specialty care.

IMPORTANT: Services offered at the Watertown 1 VA Clinic (Watertown CBOC) on Arsenal Street remain unchanged and are not affected by this relocation.
