A huge thank you to April and Sandy for leading our Downtime Education sessions for nursing staff!

Preparing for downtime events is critical to ensuring safe, high-quality patient care when electronic systems are unavailable. Through their expertise, preparation, and engaging teaching style, April and Sandy are helping nurses build confidence in downtime workflows, documentation processes, communication strategies, and patient safety practices.

This initiative represents more than education—it demonstrates the power of collaboration between Nursing, IMT, Regulatory/Compliance, and EPIC/Informatics to strengthen organizational readiness and resilience.
