Big news: Focus Health DPC has been nominated for Best Medical Facility, and I've been nominated for Best Doctor in Pierce County! 🎉

I'm beyond grateful. But more than that, this is a chance to put direct primary care on the map. So many people in our area still don't know this model exists, and it's changed how I get to practice medicine. If this nomination helps even one more person discover DPC (many now in Tacoma, UP, Gig Harbor, Olympia), that's a win.

PSA: give this a listen -- if you are a woman, if you know a woman. Feel free to reach out with questions.

What I was taught in medical school basically amounts to hormones are evil, and I should only ever be taking women off of them. Yes, they might hate me, but I need to do what's in their best interest.

I'm sorry. All I can say to all of those women I inadvertently harmed is that I've continued to learn, and as I know better I do better. And you deserve another chat with a doctor who is educating himself/herself on this topic because anyone who started medical school at around or after the time of the WHI has been miseducated.
