“True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga doesn’t care about you’ve been; yoga cares about the person you’re becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied.”
-Aadil Palkhivala, Fire of Love
We talk about alignment on the mat but Aadil Palkhivala reminds us that the real alignment happens off the mat. Maybe the deeper practice is the one that happens after we roll up our mats, by a life lived with intention.
Yoga has never been about performance. It’s something we live. It’s in the way we speak to ourselves, the way we show up for the people around us, the way we meet a hard, unforgiving day.
Not who you’ve been. Who you’re becoming.
If that feels like an invitation, we hope you’ll bring it onto your mat with you this week, and let it follow you back out into your life, too.
