Now WE’RE the ones asking. We’re making their doctor’s appointments, translating insurance letters, and explaining that no, Mommy, that dancing cat video is AI. 😂
Somewhere along the way, the roles quietly flipped. And no one prepared us for it.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, and I need us to have this conversation. Yes, us. Because su***de doesn’t skip immigrant families, Black families, or church families. It just goes unspoken there.

Two of my worlds collided this week and it’s so timely for World Su***de Prevention Day. I was reminded of community’s role in su***de prevention. It took me back to the people who have held me in love all these years. I was reminded of the reasons why I stayed especially in my teen years. So be community and allow yourself to be loved by community. I love you 🤎
