As e-bike use grows, so do safety concerns. Washington state’s new e-bike law takes effect June 11.

The new law creates a clearer distinction between e-bikes and electric motorcycles, meaning licensing and other protections could be required. This will help reduce risk on roads, trails, and sidewalks.
