It’s a long read BUT…
This is exactly why we love what we do.
I (Megan) ran into a friend (no name bc we value privacy) at Boomerang Cafe on Saturday morning. She had recently undergone a procedure to remove excess skin from her inner thighs after an incredible weight loss journey. Her legs were swelling significantly, and her surgeon had recommended lymphatic massage.
The problem? She didn’t want to make the drive to Tulsa for treatment.
As we talked, she mentioned she had been using a vibration massager on the inside of her legs, thinking it would help move lymphatic fluid. My massage therapist heart sank a little. Vibrational massage and lymphatic massage are not the same thing, and in some cases, aggressive techniques can actually increase irritation rather than help the healing process.
We arranged a time for her to stop by The Palms after hours. I showed her a few simple self-lymphatic drainage techniques, how to properly use a dry brush, and sent her home with our Manifest Wellness Lymphatic Oil.
The results were immediate.
For about $65 and a little education, she finally had tools that supported her body’s healing process and gave her relief.
This is what we live for.
Not just providing services, but educating our clients, empowering them with knowledge, and helping them feel better in their own bodies.
Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference.
My little massage therapist heart is now full!!!
