Pell City- John Joseph Jefferson Hamm, lovingly known to everyone as “Jeff Hamm”, of Pell City, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the age of 68. Jeff was a hardworking, devoted, and loyal man whose greatest pride and joy was his family. He believed in the importance of hard work, dedication, and standing by those he loved. His strength, dependability, and unwavering commitment to his family were qualities that defined the man he was. Jeff shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Rena. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, cherished memories, and an enduring devotion to one another. Through life’s joys and challenges, they stood side by side, creating a lifetime of memories and a bond that will never be broken. Above all, Jeff was a family man. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. His family was the center of his world, and his love and loyalty to those closest to him were unwavering. Jeff leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Rena; his 3 children, Carles, Ben (Victoria), and Candice; and his 4 cherished grandchildren, Riley, Carsen, Ella, and Abigail. Mississippi-Mrs. Kathrene Jean Williams, 70, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at her home in Red Banks, Mississippi surrounded by family after a long illness. Kathrene was born to Janice and the late Thomas Horn on June 29, 1956, in Talladega, Alabama. She loved Alabama Football, her family, baking cakes, and cooking holiday meals for her family. She loved her dog Sammy Jo and was very proud and loved her Cherokee heritage. She knew and loved Jesus. She is survived by her husband, Hays Williams of 28 years of Red Banks, MS.; daughters, Brandy Young (Ronny), Misty Butler (Marco) of Byhalia, Ms.; stepdaughter, Reana Maddox (Mike); stepson: John Pugh (Suzy) from Alabama; sisters, Teresa Cheatam (Randy), Sherry Smith (Brian), Cindy Linard (Jeff), Sandra Reeder (late Phillip) all of Alabama; grandchildren, Katelyn Terrell, Crystal Terrell, Ricky Terrell Jr. (Victoria), Quristan Wilson, Terrance Davis all of Byhalia, MS.; great-grandchildren: Mia Terrell, Blake, Brantley, Maliyah Sayre, Ricky Terrell III, Xander Ferguson, Modesty Davis all of Byhalia, MS. Mr. Curtis C. Wills, Sr., passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the age of 77.
Curtis served 2 years of active duty in the Army from 1969-1971. He retired from the
Alabama National Guard after serving 26 years with the rank of E-6 and supported Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was very proud to serve his country.
Curtis also retired from Kimberly Clark/Bowater after 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Curtis and Mary Wills, and brother Frankie Wills.
He is survived by his son: Curtis C. Wills, Jr.; daughter: Tracey Taylor (Adam); brothers: Billy Ray Wills, Terry Wills (Joyce), Matt Wills (Dee), Leslie Wills; sister: Dot Barnett (Mic). He also leaves behind his precious granddaughters: Keely Jo Wills, Kaitlyn Taylor, LeighAnn Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, and 5 great-granddaughters. Also, special friend: Jean Trammell.
Curtis loved his family and friends, Alabama football, and motorcycle trips with his club. He graduated from Winterboro High School in 1968 and loved being a player for the Bulldogs, then continued as a member of the Winterboro Quarterback Club for many years.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the Cosby Funeral Home chapel for visitation. Talladega-Ms. Joyce Faye Hollis, age 83, of Talladega, passed away leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will continue to cherish the time they shared with her.
Joyce found happiness in the simple things that made each day special. She enjoyed watching birds, tending to her garden, getting lost in a good book, and listening to music. Among her favorites was the music of Conway Twitty. Her love for these things reflected her appreciation for the beauty, music, and quiet moments that made life meaningful to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Don Hollis; and her son, Jeffery Don Hollis.
Joyce is survived by her son, Jeremy Hollis; five daughters, Loretta Spradlin, Tammy Boyd (Michael), Tina Hulsey, Donna Strickland, and Carolyn Hollis; and her sister, Virginia Vaughn. She also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends who will carry their own special memories of her.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Pine Hill Memorial Park, with Rev. Cory Burrell officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Gardner, Chandler Davis, Blake Davis, Chase Johnson, Ethan Sanderson, and Trent Adams.

Talladega-Mrs. Lori Christine Mitchell, 61, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026.
Lori will be remembered by her family for the many years they shared together and the special place she held in their lives. Her family will carry forward the memories made throughout the years and the love they shared with her.
She is survived by her mother, Marcia Diane Knight; 3 daughters, Marcia Ann McDaniel (Chris), Melinda Williams (Jeff), and Christy Mitchell; 2 sons, David Shane Mitchell (Robin), Eric Strickland (Christy); grandchildren, Tomisha, Alysia (Jesse), TJ (Alivia), Kennedy, Ava, Alyssa (La'David), Blaine, and Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Mariah, Tommy III, and Tayven; 2 sisters, Lisa Patterson Walton and Kelly Knight; and 2 brothers, Kippy Knight (Alison) and Kenny Knight (Tammy).
She is preceded in death by her husband, David E. Mitchell; her father, Thomas H. Knight; her grandson, La'David James Hayes; and her brother, Darren Patterson.
Though Lori's life was far too short, the love she shared with her family will continue through the generations she leaves behind.

Lincoln-Mr. Ralph Nolan Garrett, age 87, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a man who enjoyed life in his own way and took pleasure in the people, places, and activities that were important to him. Ralph’s love for his family was at the heart of his life, and he leaves behind many who will miss having him as part of theirs.
Ralph was born to Mancel and Velma Garrett. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Amanda Chalifoux; 2 sons, Nolan Garrett and Chris Whitten; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Letty Ann Garrett; 3 sons, Rickey Garrett (Shelia), Shannon Garrett, and Alan Whitten; 4 daughters, Judy Stiff (Thorace), Lisa Scott, Anna Fiscus (Eric), and Kristie Thornburg; 1 brother, Harry Garrett (Mary); 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Ralph enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, and especially Alabama football. He was Baptist by faith and was a member of Blue Eye Baptist Church.
Ralph’s family will continue to carry the love they shared with him as they move forward, along with all that he meant to each of them.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Cosby Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Cosby Funeral Home with Lester Miller officiating.

Talladega-Oaklynn Maria-Shay Knapp was a precious daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, niece, cousin, and beloved member of a family who loved her long before they ever had the chance to hold her.
Oaklynn was born into a world where she was already deeply loved and eagerly awaited. Although her time with her family was far too brief, her life was meaningful, and the love she brought into their hearts will remain with them forever.
Her parents, Brandon Knapp and Kristie Sexton, will forever carry the love of their precious daughter. Oaklynn will also be lovingly remembered by her grandparents, Elbert and Mandy Sexton and Jamie Knapp; great-grandparents, Thomas and Debbie Knapp and William Perry; aunts, Hollie Prestridge and Kourtnie Sexton; uncle, Corey Sexton; and many cousins, extended family members, and loved ones.
There will always be dreams that her family wishes they could have watched come true. They will wonder what her first smile would have looked like, what her laugh would have sounded like, who she would have become, and all the beautiful moments they would have shared with her. Those memories were never given the chance to be made, but Oaklynn will forever have a place in the hearts of those who loved her.

Mrs. Reba Jo Kemp, age 80, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of love, cherished memories, and a family who will miss her dearly.
Reba was a sweet and caring woman whose family meant so much to her. She especially loved her grandchildren and treasured the time she spent with them. Her love for the little things in life, including her favorite candy and listening to music, brought her happiness and became part of the memories her family will carry with them.
Reba’s gentle spirit and caring heart touched the lives of those who knew her. She will be remembered for the love she gave, the moments she shared, and the special place she held in the hearts of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Kemp; her parents, Arthur and Pearly Mae Holley; her sisters, Nadine Robinson, Joanie Rajos, and Velma Martin; and her brother, James Holley Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Monica Kemp (Mandy); her grandchildren, Breanna Davis, Journey Kemp; and great-grandchildren, Teigan and Mila Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
Reba leaves behind her family and loved ones who will continue to cherish the memories they made with her. Though she is no longer with them, the love she shared will remain a part of their lives and will be carried forward through the family she loved so dearly.
