It’s no secret that food + lifestyle are the simplest + most inexpensive way to reduce symptoms of DISease + promote optimal health. 👩🏻🔬
As a mother, helping my kids develop a relationship to nature through food is a priority for me.
As a woman, using food to support my unique hormonal needs is a priority for me.
As a consumer, using my dollars to choose real, whole food over processed food like man made products is a priority for me.
All of that to say, we all have different unique needs when it comes to the meals we choose for ourselves + our families AND it evolves over time so what may be nourishing for me in this moment, may not feel right for you. Take what you need and leave the rest. 🫶🏻
🍲FIRST, on my pre grocery shopping day I make an everything but the kitchen sink soup/stew to use the last of our herbs and veggies. This week it was split pea and lentil with carrots and celery and cilantro. (Save and freeze your veggie and meat scraps to make your own broth as a less waste option to buying premade broth.)
🍳 Breakfast this week: Coconut chia bowl, sweet potato and Brussels sprout hash with eggs, and mixed berry smoothie.
🥗Lunch this week: copycat broccoli yum yum salad with teriyaki tempeh, chicken Mediterranean bowls, and chick pea Cesar salad.
🫒 Snacks: hummus and veggies, apples and almond butter, crackers and avocado, dark chocolate and peanut butter bites.
🍜Dinners: lemon honey butter chicken with beets and rice, turkey and red bean chili, and tempeh rainbos stir fry.
