Today, our hearts are heavy as we honor the life and legacy of a man who meant so much to our family and to the heart of SG Mental Health Counseling.

Mr. SG was more than a father, grandfather, mentor, and friend—he was the inspiration behind our story. His unwavering love, wisdom, strength, and encouragement helped shape the values that guide our organization every day: compassion, resilience, service, and hope.

Though our hearts ache with his passing, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched and the work we do in our community.

Our SG Mental Health Counseling Wellness Navigator Program was honored to present at the Big Bend Minority Chamber Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce’s Camp Treppie Entrepreneur Summer Camp! 🌟

Last week, our Program Manager, Mr. Edwards, led an engaging and thought-provoking discussion on “More Money, More Problems.” Campers explored the connection between financial decision-making, stress, emotions, peer influence, and overall mental wellness.

Through interactive activities and real-life examples, students learned that while money can provide opportunities, true success also includes emotional intelligence, healthy coping skills, strong relationships, and making choices that align with their values. 💡🧠💚

At SG Mental Health Counseling, we believe in equipping youth with the tools they need to thrive both personally and professionally. We are proud to support the next generation of entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers!

We’ve been busy 💙

One thing you should know about SG Mental Health Counseling is that we LOVE being in the community and providing resources that support mental health and wellness.

Last month, we had the opportunity to serve as a vendor at the NWF Resource Expo in Tallahassee, FL, where we connected with child welfare staff and fellow community partners. During the event, we provided wellness kits as a reminder that while caring for others, it’s just as important to take care of yourself too. ✨

Mental health matters for everyone — including the helpers, advocates, and professionals showing up for our community every single day. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and connected with us!
