Behind every great thrift store find is someone who chose to give. 💚

At Oak Tree Treasures, that generosity reaches beyond our stores. Your donations support the mission of Big Bend Hospice and help make care possible for patients and families in our community.

As the season of giving approaches, we’re asking for your gently used clothing, household goods and furniture. Whether you’re making room for holiday guests or finally tackling that overflowing closet, the items you pass along can do good close to home.

Donate to Oak Tree Treasures - Mahan or Oak Tree Treasures - N Monroe and help turn everyday treasures into meaningful support for your hometown hospice. For a full list of what items can be donated, visit https://bigbendhospice.org/oak-tree-treasures/donate/

What a wonderful way to conclude Breast Cancer Awareness Week at Big Bend Hospice!
Today, our BBH family came together in a sea of PINK to celebrate survivors and honor colleagues and families impacted by breast cancer.

From our Main Campus to our Outer County Teams, staff proudly participated in our Pink Out, capturing group photos and sharing moments of encouragement and unity. With DJ Demp providing the music, we danced, sang, and celebrated alongside our incredible survivors!
More than wearing pink, today was a reminder of the strength, resilience, hope, and compassion that bring us together.

We are grateful for our Big Bend Hospice family and the opportunity to recognize those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

To every survivor, fighter, and family remembering a loved one, we honor you and stand with you!
Together, we continue to inspire hope!

This is what teamwork looks like at Big Bend Hospice!

Yesterday, volunteers Matthew Collazos, Scott “Riggs” Newell, John Till, Samair Noohani, and James “Jim” Williams jumped in to help move a patient’s bed and make room for a hospital bed. A practical need, a few moving pieces, and a team of people willing to step up and make it happen. Sometimes, providing the best care takes coordination across multiple departments, a little problem-solving, and a whole lot of teamwork. That’s the beauty of hospice. Our interdisciplinary team comes together to meet patients and families where they are, and our volunteers are an important part of that team.

To Matthew, Riggs, John, Samair, and Jim: thank you for showing up, pitching in, and reminding us that sometimes the most meaningful acts of care look like simply being willing to help.

Want to be part of a team that makes a real difference? Hospice volunteering is about more than you might think. It’s about showing up, lending a hand, sharing your time, and helping families feel supported when they need it most. There’s a place for you on this team. https://bigbendhospice.org/volunteers/

We had a wonderful time connecting with our Wakulla County community at the first Wakulla County Nonprofit & Community Resource Fair, hosted by the Wakulla County Chamber’s Nonprofit Network Resource Group! 💚

It was a great opportunity to meet fellow local organizations, share information about Big Bend Hospice and Palliative Care services, and connect with community members interested in making a difference. We were also excited to spread the word about our upcoming Wakulla Volunteer Orientation on October 20 and the many ways volunteers can support our mission!

A big thank you to the Wakulla County Chamber of Commerce and Nonprofit Network Resource Group for bringing so many organizations together and creating opportunities for meaningful community connections!

A thriving community is one where people have spaces to connect, build friendships, and feel supported at every stage of life.

Big Bend Health was honored to be part of Tallahassee Senior Center's Welaunee location open house in Tallahassee! We enjoyed connecting with community members, sharing information about our services, and celebrating this wonderful addition to our community.

We’re grateful to partner with organizations that create meaningful opportunities for older adults to stay engaged, build connections, and continue to thrive. Here’s to building a stronger community together!

🎀 We kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Week at Big Bend Hospice with an informative presentation from Mallory Tucker, PA, of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare - TMH Physician Partners – Surgical Specialists!

Our team came together to learn more about breast cancer, the importance of prioritizing our health, and the role early detection can play in improving outcomes. With breast cancer affecting so many individuals and families, education and awareness are powerful tools in supporting our own well-being and the health of our community.

A special thank you to Mallory for sharing her expertise and helping our team stay informed, prioritize their health, and continue supporting the well-being of the community we serve!
