Maybe when someone dies, they aren't gone but merely in a different dimension. The people you love that have passed could be waiting on the other side to communicate with you.

We are all psychically influencing each other all the time. Merely holding your focus on someone, even if they are hundreds of miles away, affects them on a psychic level to some degree.
