Whenever you’re in my office, there is no such thing as too much information.

My name is Mel, I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist and the owner here at The Knot Spot.

There are numerous systems in the body keeping us functioning and they’re all connected to each other. When I’m working on the body I’m working with multiple systems in mind, not just the musculoskeletal structure.

How you eat, sleep, your bowel movements, among every other variable in your life is a piece of the puzzle that makes you, you. The more information I have, the more customized your treatment session will be!

This is 4 minutes of body work sped up. The front of the shoulder, chest attachments, and biceps are always on my list whenever I’m presented with shoulder pain.

My client IFBB Pro card holder, Cedes, came to me with anterior shoulder pain. We worked the surrounding tissues while addressing the AC joint. This is only a 4 minute preview into the 45 minutes we spent on this area. Patience is a must when it comes to lifestyle changes.

Body builders have a very cool way of viewing the body and it’s always a good time when we collaborate. 💪🏼

Deep work cannot be received unless the nervous system is calm. It’s slower. It’s intentional. And it takes time.

At the start of the session, I’m going slow because I’m waiting for your tissue to respond. I’m letting your nervous system calm down. I’m melting through each layer instead of forcing my way through it.

Your body doesn’t release just because I push harder, it releases when it feels safe enough to let go. That takes patience. That takes consistency. And that’s why it’s not a rushed service in my room.

We’re not chasing pain. We’re creating a new homeostasis.
