25 years later, we remember. 🇺🇸

September 11 is not only Patriot Day, but also a National Day of Service and Remembrance—an invitation to honor those we lost through compassion, connection, and service to others.

Today, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, the first responders who showed extraordinary courage, and the countless people who stepped forward to help one another.

May we honor their memory by choosing kindness. By checking on one another. By serving our communities. And by remembering that even in our darkest moments, there is incredible strength in coming together. ❤️🤍💙

Tomorrow, September 10, is World Su***de Prevention Day. 💛

Sometimes the person who is struggling the most is also the person who has become very good at saying, “I’m fine.”

Today—and every day—we can choose to notice. To check in. To listen without judgment. To remind someone that they matter and that they do not have to carry everything alone.

A text. A phone call. Sitting beside someone in the hard stuff. Small acts of connection can mean more than we realize.

At Cherry Blossom Counseling, we believe there is strength in asking for help, hope even in incredibly difficult seasons, and healing that can begin one conversation at a time. 🌸

Jen recently stopped at a garage sale and randomly ran into Coach Ron Wills, who coached her in softball for four years at Roosevelt High School in Kent! 🥎

What are the chances?! 🥹

It’s funny how someone can be such a big part of one chapter of your life—and then, years later, life puts them right back in your path when you least expect it.

So this felt like the perfect excuse for a little throwback challenge! 🌸

Hello, September! 🍂✏️

A new month can feel like a fresh page — but you don’t have to fill every line, have everything figured out, or make this your “most productive month yet.”

Maybe September can simply be about settling back into a rhythm. 🤍

As schedules get busier, school gets underway, and fall begins creeping in, remember to leave a little room for yourself, too.

✨ Rest when you need it.
✨ Check in with how you’re really doing.
✨ Give yourself grace on the messy days.
✨ Make space for the people and things that bring you comfort.
✨ And remember that asking for support is always okay.

Today, on Women’s Equality Day, we celebrate the women who came before us, the women beside us, and the women still working to make the world a more equitable place. 💛

And this year, the day feels especially meaningful as we remember Dolly Parton—a woman who spent a lifetime showing us that strength and softness can coexist.

She built an extraordinary life on her own terms. She championed working women, invested in children and education, gave generously to people in need, and reminded us again and again that there is room in this world for kindness, acceptance and everybody.

Equality isn’t about asking women to be more like anyone else. It’s about making sure every woman has the freedom and opportunity to become fully, unapologetically herself.

Today we celebrate the progress that has been made, acknowledge the work still ahead, and honor the women who keep opening doors for those coming behind them. 🌸

🌿 Self-care doesn’t always look like a spa day. Sometimes, it looks like dirt under your fingernails. 🌱💛

Gardening, painting, reading, baking, hiking, crafting, playing music—hobbies give us something that our busy, responsibility-filled lives often don’t: time to simply enjoy being present.

Making space for things you love isn’t frivolous or unproductive. Hobbies can help reduce stress, quiet an overwhelmed mind, create a sense of accomplishment, and reconnect us with parts of ourselves that can get lost in the day-to-day.

And your hobby doesn’t have to be something you’re good at. 😉 You don’t need to monetize it, master it, or turn it into another item on your to-do list.

You’re allowed to do something simply because it brings you joy. 🌸
