🚨 TODAY IS NATIONAL SAVE A LIFE DAY! 🚨

National Save a Life Day is a nationwide day of action that brings communities together to promote widespread, year-round access to naloxone (Narcan). It is a day dedicated to erasing stigma, spreading education, and putting life-saving tools directly into the hands of everyday people. Overdose prevention belongs to all of us, and being prepared can truly mean the difference between life and death for a neighbor, friend, or loved one.

Our doors are open right now, and we have FREE Narcan and test strips available TODAY and every single day.

Getting supplies is completely judgment-free, confidential, and easy. We offer three flexible options to fit your needs:
📦 In-Center Pickup: Stop in and see us at our center during our regular hours.
📬 24/7 Public Box: Grab what you need completely anonymously from our outdoor public box at any time.
🚗 Home Delivery: If you can't make it to us, reach out and we will bring these life-saving tools directly to your doorstep.

🌱 New Roots is here to walk alongside you on your recovery journey right here in Tamaqua and surrounding communities!

Our centers are safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces built by people who understand. If you or a loved one are navigating recovery from a substance use disorder, you don't have to do it alone.

Our Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) team provides peer-driven, one-on-one coaching, resource navigation, and advocacy rooted in lived experience. We work directly out of our center, but we are also glad to meet you out in the community wherever you feel most comfortable!

📅 We are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Come see us to access vital community resources:

CRS Support: One-on-one guidance in our center or out in the community to help you set personal recovery goals and overcome barriers.

Daily Support Groups: We host recovery groups every single day of the week! Be sure to check our page regularly for our latest weekly group schedule.

Essential Resources: Practical help with building a resume, interview prep, and securing critical documents like IDs and birth certificates.

Community Connections: Direct links to local housing, food pantries, and community-based networks.

No appointments or fees are required—just walk through our front doors or reach out. Let’s build a healthier, more connected life together.

What a night! 🎤☕️ A huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to our Open Mic Night at Hope and Coffee this past Saturday!

Whether you stepped up to the microphone to share your talent or sat back with a warm drink to cheer everyone on, you made the evening incredibly special. We are so grateful for this community. Music does so much more than just entertain—it lowers anxiety, boosts mood, and builds the vital sober connections that anchor long-term recovery. 🙌 It was so wonderful to see everyone connecting, sharing, and lifting each other up through those songs and stories on Saturday night. 🎶✨

We would like to thank everyone who attended Saturday night's open mic event at Hope & Coffee. We had a wonderful turn out, great performances, and had so much fun. Brent asked attendees of the event to comment on our post with their time in recovery. Although not everyone commented, we have calculated all of the recovery time from comments we do have. If everyone were to have commented, we know there would be so much more time.
These numbers and everyone at open mic on Saturday are proof that recovery is possible and WE DO RECOVER.
