Pregnancy tip Week 10 🤰

Many people hold their breath during everyday movements without realizing it.

This week focus is exhaling before you move.

Before standing up rolling over lifting or getting out of the car try gently breathing out first.

Exhaling before movement may help manage pressure and improve coordination between your core and pelvic floor.

It is a simple habit that can support your body throughout pregnancy.

If your baby startles easily, you’re not alone ❤️

Many newborns have a startle reflex that can wake them from sleep or cause their arms and legs to suddenly move.

This reflex is a normal part of early development and is commonly seen during the first few months of life.

Parents often notice:
• sudden arm movements
• waking shortly after falling asleep
• reactions to sounds or movement

As babies grow, this reflex typically becomes less noticeable.

If you ever have concerns about your baby’s development or movement patterns, it’s always okay to check in with a provider.

Pregnancy tip Week 9 🤰

Your low back should not be doing all the work during pregnancy.

This week focus is using your glutes more during everyday movement.

As your body changes it is common to compensate through the low back instead of using the hips and glutes for support.

Using your glutes during movements like standing up may help reduce stress through your pelvis and low back.

Small changes now can help support your body later.

POV: you were just trying to say hi… and I’m already analyzing baby milestones and tension patterns 😂

Occupational hazard of being a pediatric chiropractor. I can’t help but notice the little things, especially when babies are holding their head up super early 👶✨

Every baby is different, but sometimes early head lifting can be connected to tension patterns that may deserve a closer look.

If your baby arches their back often, you’re not imagining it 🤍

Some babies arch during crying, feeding, or when they’re feeling overstimulated or uncomfortable.

Parents may notice:
• stiffening during feeds
• pushing backward when held
• difficulty settling at times

Some movement patterns can be part of normal newborn behavior, while others may be worth paying attention to if they continue frequently over time.

Simple things like slower transitions, upright calming positions, and responsive soothing can sometimes help babies settle more comfortably.

If feeding feels consistently difficult or your baby seems persistently uncomfortable, it’s always okay to check in with a provider.
