163 days post hospitalization.

I have reels over the last month made to post.

I have videos and content I want to share.

But after wasting way too much time trying to make it “perfect” I gave up.

So today, 163 days post hospitalization. This is what you get.

I showed up at the gym today. As I have been 2-3x a week and I’m loving it!

But there’s also me behind the scenes…. navigating a full time business, supporting my athletes, navigating life, working my way back towards health, finding happiness, and re creating myself from ground zero.

There’s so much I don’t share on here and content creation is my absolute dread.

But know I’m here.

I’m here for you. I pour everything I have into my clients to get them where they need to be.

Runner with an injury? I got you.
Ironman training? I got you.
Active person trying to get out of pain? I got you.

I got you on every front. I just don’t “got” my Instagram together. And that has to be okay right now 🤍

Day by day. Step by step.

Chapter 1: The Re-Entry 🔥

For 146 days, my ‘max effort’ was carrying groceries into the house. And that ended in exhaustion.

Last week, it was this.

Since December 9th, my heart rate has been something I monitored out of fear.

This session, I monitored it out of focus.

Squats, hip thrusts, hamstring curls and planks might look simple, but after a hospitalization, every rep is a hard-earned win.

Slow, controlled movements. Progressive load. Monitoring and listening to my body.

Chapter 1 of the comeback starts now. I have spent this time gathering the tools that are going to elevate me to a whole new level. I am coming back more intentional and grounded than ever and I can’t wait to share what’s next!

🔥❤️😊

126 DAYS. The trajectory of my life just shifted back🫀

For 126 days, I’ve lived with a heavy “what IF”.

What IF the inflammation left a mark? What IF the damage is permanent? What IF the version of me that runs and boxes and moves without fear is gone?

On 3/26/26, I went in for my MRI. The experience alone was rattling but it eventually gave me the answer I actually needed: NO PERMANENT SCARRING.

😮‍💨🙏

Seeing that report was a collision of joy and disorientation. I cried because I was safe. I laughed because I get to keep my heart. I smiled because for the first time I saw a future that includes running again.

As much as I wanted this to be the “all clear”. I am still navigating the reality of daily symptoms. The symptoms that range from dizziness, to elevated HR and chest pressure out of nowhere and a subsequent drop in HR, head pressure and exhaustion.

My ECHO shows elevated pressure and my MRI shows a solid heart. I’m stuck in the middle, navigating a traffic jam that changes every day.

It’s a strange place to be.

I’m resting easy knowing my cute little heart is holding it down, while the human in me wants and needs more answers for the ongoing struggle.

April 28th is my next cardiology follow up. Until then, I am leaning into the facts, resting in the pause and knowing the rebuild is coming.

Thank you to all of you that have reached out, supported me, and provided words of encouragement. I can’t even begin to express what that has meant up until now and continues to mean ❤️❤️

100 DAYS. 🫀

It takes a lot of patience to be patient with yourself.

I hit 93 days and thought I’d said it all, but hitting triple digits feels different. It’s a shift from just surviving the day-to-day to truly looking at the “what now?”

The Reality:
I’ve spent 100 days hollowing out the version of me that runs and relearning the version of me that heals.
This hasn’t been a linear recovery; it’s been a mourning process.

There were days I spent entirely in bed, canceling my clients because I couldn’t find a way to show up. It’s hard to be a “fixer” when you feel fundamentally broken.

I’ve lived in the “less than 1%” side effects and watched my body change in ways I didn’t ask for. My heart was redlining just to keep me still....from a size 4 to a 0 without taking a single step.

The Strategy:
I’m a PT and a Run Coach, but I had to fire my athlete brain to save my heart. Now, my workout is diligence. It’s watching my heart rate constantly, honoring the limit, and choosing the “what now?” over the “why me?”

The Fix:
I’ve learned that nature is the only thing that truly grounds my nervous system. It’s the only medicine that has calmed my internal storm while the medications calm the other storm.

100 days down. It takes more energy to heal than it ever took to train.

MRI: MARCH 28TH. 8 days to go. 🌅

Thank you for being on this journey with me- your love and support has meant the world to me ❤️
