We were honored to partner with Amazon TPA 1 for the 5th year in a row as part of the Amazon Goes Gold for Kids with Cancer campaign! 🌟🎗️

To raise awareness for childhood cancer, patients and families from the Bayless Cancer Institute at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital spent an unforgettable afternoon touring the massive Amazon facility, packing boxes as Honorary Amazonians, and receiving some special toy surprises from Amazon’s generous team.

✨ Meet the Team: Deb McCarthy, Director of Finance

For Deb McCarthy, joining St. Joseph’s Hospitals Foundation meant becoming part of a legacy of care, hope, and service that began more than 90 years ago with the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany.

As Director of Finance, Deb brings a passion for finding better, more efficient ways to support the Foundation’s work. But what keeps her connected to the mission are the stories, from the doctors and nurses providing exceptional care to the patients and families whose lives have been changed by it.

One of her most memorable moments was the 2026 Heroes Ball, where 900 supporters came together to show their incredible love and generosity for St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. For Deb, it was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

Outside of SJHF, Deb enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her young grandson, and hopes to travel and see more of the world. 💙

St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Foundation announced today that Angel Lisinski, Founder, CEO, and Managing Attorney of Lisinski Law Firm, made a gift of $1 million alongside her family to name the Family Resource Center at the future Pagidipati Children's Hospital at St. Joseph's. Scheduled to open by 2030, the hospital’s new facility will further enhance and expand the pediatric services provided by BayCare.

Caring for a hospitalized child can be overwhelming, and families often spend long hours or even weeks at the bedside. The Family Resource Center is designed to ease that burden by providing a comfortable, practical space that allows parents and caregivers to take care of their own needs while remaining close to their child.

“From the moment I toured St. Joseph's, I saw a team doing extraordinary work for children and their families. We have been working together on this gift for months, and I could not be prouder to support a hospital that means so much to the Tampa community. My hope is that this space keeps families together, just as our firm strives to do every day in our mission to change as many lives as possible,” said Angel Lisinski, Founder, CEO, and Managing Attorney, Lisinski Law Firm.

This gift reflects Angel’s incredible commitment to improving the lives of generations of families and children across the Tampa Bay community.

St. Joseph's Hospital is expanding access to advanced heart care in West Central Florida!

The hospital’s structural heart team is now offering the FDA-approved Edwards EVOQUE transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) system for patients with severe tricuspid regurgitation. This minimally invasive procedure provides an alternative for patients who may be at too high of a risk for traditional open-heart surgery.

This advancement gives the team another way to go beyond managing symptoms and provide patients with new treatment options and hope for the future.

When Alysia’s son Pierce began having seizures at just two years old, she knew something wasn’t right. He was later diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disorder that led to traumatic brain injuries and the need for round the clock, intensive care.

Finding the Plasencia Chronic Complex Clinic at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital changed everything. The clinic became a lifeline, coordinating Pierce’s medical, physical, and emotional care in one place and surrounding their family with a team who knows him personally and understands his complex needs.

As Pierce has grown, his needs have continued to evolve, bringing new transitions in his care. Through the commitment of St. Joseph’s Hospitals Foundation in partnership with St. Joseph’s Hospitals, our efforts ensure patients like Pierce can continue receiving the seamless, lifesaving care they depend on at every stage of life.

Since joining St. Joseph’s Hospitals Foundation, Jane has found a way to combine her passion for healthcare with giving back to the community. One of her favorite parts of her role has been working alongside the incredible Auxiliary volunteers.

A meaningful moment marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. 💙

Team members gathered for one final photo outside the original St. Joseph's Children's Hospital entrance before it closes to make way for the future Pagidipati Children’s Hospital at St. Joseph’s. For some, this entrance has been part of their story since opening day in 1998.

As we look back on the memories made here, we are excited for what the future holds for children and families in our community!

Last month, St. Joseph's Hospital - North had the pleasure of welcoming local Girl Scouts to learn more about robotic surgery and see the technology up close!

The Girl Scouts got a firsthand look at how robotic surgery works and learned how this technology helps surgeons care for patients. Their curiosity and eagerness to learn made the experience even more special. St. Joseph’s Hospital - North was proud to share this experience with the group and help inspire an interest in the world of health care.
