CFBHN was proud to attend the PACES Conference at Hillsborough Community College’s Plant City campus on May 15. The event brought together advocates and community partners dedicated to promoting positive childhood experiences and reducing the effects of trauma through resilience-building strategies, nurturing relationships, and collaboration.

We appreciate the opportunity to learn, connect, and continue supporting stronger outcomes for children and families throughout our communities. Thank you to the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County for helping make this inspiring event possible.

The Behavioral Health Stakeholders’ Consortium (BHSC) is Sarasota County’s primary collaborative body for mental health and substance use services, bringing together over 70 active members including behavioral health providers, law enforcement, the court system, the Department of Children and Families, the Sarasota County School Board, consumers, hospitals, housing providers, and funders. The latest BHSC was held on May 15, 2026.

The BHSC’s role is to coordinate and monitor community-based programs addressing behavioral health needs, identify priorities, and promote collaboration among stakeholders.

Meetings are held monthly to review the overall system of care, address emerging trends, and develop work groups for targeted solutions.

The Provider Spotlight is shining on Boley Centers!

The LEAP program at Boley Centers stands for Life Enhancement Activity Program. It is a community-based, psychosocial rehabilitation initiative designed to help individuals with mental illnesses optimize their personal, social, and vocational independence

"Anne" participated in the LEAP program at Boley Centers and wrote the following on an anonymous survey, "The LEAP group has helped me with everything for my mental health, like coping skills, self-awareness, and self-love. The LEAP leaders have encouraged me to have patience and God knows I would not be the person I am today without it. Thanks, Boley Center."
