If we’re making anything “chic,” let’s make emotional health part of the conversation.

Because protecting your peace, setting healthy boundaries, and finding freedom from anxiety will never go out of style.

If one of these resonated with you, save this post for the reminder you might need later and send it to a friend who could use it too. 🤍

Anxiety has a way of sounding convincing.

It tells you that you need more certainty, more control, more perfection, and more worry to stay safe. But just because a thought feels true doesn’t mean it is.

The good news? These thought patterns can be challenged, and healing is possible.

🤍 Which slide resonated with you the most? Save this post for the next time anxiety tries to convince you of one of these lies.

High-functioning anxiety doesn’t always look like panic. Sometimes it looks like perfectionism, overachieving, constantly staying busy, and feeling like your worth is tied to what you accomplish.

Many of my clients are learning that they don’t have to earn rest, prove their value, or have everything figured out to be worthy of love and acceptance. 🤍

Healing can look like slowing down, letting go of perfection, and learning that failure does not define you.

Your worth was never meant to be measured by your productivity.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, or the fear of failure, therapy can help you build a healthier relationship with yourself and your thoughts. Book a consult in the link in my bio!

I spend a lottttttt of time encouraging clients to slow down, get outside, and reconnect with what brings them joy so this is me practicing what I preach! 🌟

Outside of sessions, you’ll often find me hiking a trail, watching a sunset, exploring a new place, or simply soaking in the beauty of creation. Nature has a way of reminding us that rest isn’t something we earn, it’s something we need.

Your therapist is a real person, too. And this is one of the ways I take care of myself so I can show up fully for the people I serve 🫶

We understand that physical health takes intentional effort- movement, consistency, rest, nutrition, etc!

But when it comes to mental health, so many people feel frustrated or ashamed that it also requires care and attention.

Your mental health deserves to be prioritized too 🤍

If you’re ready to start investing in your mental and emotional well-being, you can book a session with me at the link in my bio.

As a therapist, these are examples of the kinds of thoughts and patterns I hear from clients all the time. Because struggling with your mental health doesn’t always look the way people think it does.

Sometimes it looks like:
Showing up to work
Answering texts
Serving at church
Being productive
Smiling through conversations

…while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected.

High-functioning doesn’t always mean healthy.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, I think it’s important to remember that some of the people struggling the most are the ones who appear “fine” on the outside.

These clips aren’t meant to represent my personal experience, but rather the reality that many people quietly carry every day.

You don’t have to hit a breaking point for your pain to matter, and you don’t have to carry it alone.

If you’re looking for a safe space to process anxiety, relationships, boundaries, or faith and mental health, you can book a session with me at the link in my bio.

Here to remind you that thoughts are just thoughts, and not all of them need your attention.

Your mind will produce thoughts automatically throughout the day. Some are helpful, some are neutral, and some are anxious, loud, or untrue. You don’t have to engage with every single one.

One simple exercise I often use with clients is called “leaves on a stream.” Imagine sitting beside a stream and placing each thought onto a leaf as it floats by. No chasing it, no analyzing it, just noticing it and letting it pass.

This helps you create space between you and your thoughts instead of getting pulled into them. The goal isn’t to stop thoughts from showing up, it’s to stop treating every thought like a problem you need to solve.

If your mind feels like it’s constantly on overdrive, therapy can help you learn how to slow things down and relate to your thoughts differently.
