Multiple Sclerosis (MS) affects nearly 3 million people worldwide. It's a chronic disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks the protective covering of nerve fibers, disrupting communication between the brain and the rest of the body.

No two journeys with MS look the same. Some days are harder than others, and symptoms like fatigue, numbness, or brain fog aren't always visible — but they're real.

If you know someone living with MS, a little patience and understanding go a long way. And if you're navigating this diagnosis yourself, you are not alone. 💪

This month, let's raise awareness, support research, and remind each other that community makes all the difference.

Axiom Brain Health hosted an evening program to celebrate and recognize their Citizen Scientists. The Citizen Scientist Award program is a national, first-of-its kind award to celebrate Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease clinical trial participants. The only way to find treatments and cures for these diseases are through clinical trials, and the volunteers that make the research possible. Thank you to all who came out to celebrate the nominees.

September is World Alzheimer's Month and an important time to continue raising awareness of the importance of CNS disease research. Each year, people with Alzheimer’s and dementia, allied organizations, advocates, caregivers, and researchers from
around the world unite to raise awareness, organize advocacy and provide informational events. Axiom Brain Health is committed to helping the millions of people who are living with this disease, through clinical trials.

“Being involved in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s research means standing at the intersection of compassion and progress. It means helping families today, and tomorrow. In my role, I often support individuals and their families with complex care needs and I see firsthand the urgent relief and support needed for their loved ones knowing that there is a community network of trusted resources because of the partnership." Cultivator Nominee Patrick Knowles of Homewell on why he supports clinical research at site Axiom Brain Health

Lewy Body Dementia (LBD) is one of the most common forms of dementia — yet it's often misunderstood or misdiagnosed. It's caused by abnormal protein deposits (Lewy bodies) that affect thinking, movement, sleep, and mood.

A few things everyone should know:
✨ It can cause visual hallucinations, fluctuating alertness, and Parkinson's-like movement symptoms
✨ It's often mistaken for Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease
✨ Early diagnosis makes a real difference in care and quality of life
✨ Over 1 million people in the U.S. are living with LBD

If someone you love has unexplained changes in memory, movement, or sleep — trust your instincts and talk to a doctor. Awareness saves time, and time matters.
