🌱 What is Nutrient Stewardship? Let’s start with the basics.

At the core of responsible fertilizer use is the 4R Nutrient Stewardship framework:

✔️ Right Source – match fertilizer type to crop needs
✔️ Right Rate – apply the correct amount
✔️ Right Time – ensure nutrients are available when crops need them
✔️ Right Place – position nutrients where crops can access them

When applied together, the 4Rs help farmers:
🌾 Improve yields
💧 Protect water quality

A partnership decades in the making continues to make a difference beneath the surface.

For more than 30 years, Mosaic has partnered with The Florida Aquarium to deliver hundreds of thousands of gallons of ocean saltwater—multiple times each year—to sustain living habitats across the Aquarium. This helps them save resources that can then be allocated back to what matters: local aquatic life.

From wetlands to mangroves to marine exhibits, this effort supports the care and conservation of native aquatic species throughout the region. 🌊

It started as an empty room.

With the help of dedicated volunteers from The Mosaic Company and Robinson Elementary School, it became something much more—a place where families can find support, stability, and access to nutritious food.

As part of our Tackling Hunger partnership with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Feeding Tampa Bay , this is one of several school pantries across Hillsborough County—including Lamb Elementary PTA , Pinecrest Elementary School PTA, and Broward Elementary School —helping expand access to nutritious food for students and their families.

These before-and-after moments tell a bigger story: what can happen when a community shows up for one another.
