Dr. Gauri Sunkersett is a double board-certified Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist specializing in immunotherapy and an Executive Medical Director at AbbVie. She is dedicated to advancing innovative cancer therapies for pediatric and adult patients worldwide.

Through her leadership, Dr. Sunkersett has guided global clinical development programs resulting in multiple regulatory approvals across hematologic malignancies. Her team’s research has also been featured at leading international hematology and oncology congresses.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Sunkersett is deeply committed to service and advocacy. She serves on the Boards of CureSearch for Children’s Cancer and the Junior League of St. Petersburg, supporting childhood cancer research, women’s leadership, and stronger communities.

We’re proud to spotlight Dr. Shalini Thareja Batra, a board-certified dermatologist, Mohs micrographic surgeon, and Tampa Magazine Top Docs winner for two consecutive years (2025 & 2026)! 🏆👏

The Children’s Cancer Research Group, the research arm of the 1Voice Foundation, welcomed two of our 1Voice Club Newsome HS students today to start shadowing in our research lab.

Under the direction of Cameron Tebbi, M.D., Director of Research, 1Voice Foundation and Jiyu Yan, Ph.D. Research Assistant, 1Voice Foundation, our 1Voice Club members have the opportunity to shadow Dr. Yan to gain insight in Dr. Tebbi’s innovative research to develop the vaccine for leukemia.

Many of our 1Voice Club members at Newsome High School have gone on to medical school and are currently studying to enter the healthcare profession. Welcome Jessica and Chibe!

We are grateful to Dr. Tebbi and Dr. Yan for their ongoing support of these future researchers.

Dr. Ann Holloway is a board-certified General Surgeon with over a decade of experience delivering expert, patient-centered care. She is skilled in robotic, laparoscopic and open surgery.

Known for her calm, collaborative approach and meticulous technique, she creates individualized treatment plans with compassion and precision. Honors include Tampa Top Doc 2025, Robotic Surgeon of Excellence, and Robotic Hernia Surgeon of Excellence.

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Holloway cherishes time with her husband and two children. Together, they enjoy traveling, reading, trying new restaurants, and spending time by the ocean.

Dr. Holloway is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to partnering with you in your general surgery care.
