Today is a very bittersweet day as I lock up my office for the last time.

My office is empty. Pictures taken off the walls. And all my fidgets stored away.

For just under a year, this little space has been where I’ve met with clients - new and old. I started my self employment journey here. I thought this was the beginning of the rest of my career. But chasing dreams also consists of being flexible and giving up what we once thought we wanted, for something greater.

It hurts my heart to see this office space go. But I am so thankful for the time I had here and the flexibility it gave me to chase my dreams. Suite B, thank you for being home.

Onto the next adventure. Next stop: Montana. 🤎

Now that the dust has settled, I’m so excited to share some very big + bittersweet news.

At the end of May, Forward Movement Counseling will be closing its doors as I prepare for a cross country move to the beautiful state of Montana.

Since I was in high school, I had a dream of owning my own practice. This last year, I did just that. It didn’t look the way I planned it and I fumbled as I learned along the way, but I am so proud of what I built and the clients I came alongside throughout this journey.

The best news is that I get to join a new, amazing practice as I land in Bozeman. I align with their values, business practice, and goals. Forward Movement may not exist on its own, but it will continue as I merge with Wellspring Counseling.

The bravest choice we can ever make in this life is to choose ourselves. I try to instill that in each of my clients and this is me practicing for myself. 🤎

This page will look a little different in the coming months, but I’ll still be sharing mental health content — Montana edition.

The transitional seasons always bring me to a pause.

I find myself reflecting on the previous season, remembering all the ways and things I didn’t think I’d get through or all the moments I’m going to miss from the last several months.

This spring is no different. As I approach some large changes and transitions, I feel so grateful that I have a space to let myself feel and reflect. This group session with has been more transformational than I could have asked for. Each time I walk onto Beth’s property, another piece of me is healed.

I am so thankful that horses came into my life and have given me incredible opportunities like working with this herd. Horses hold space for us like no other. They accept us as we are and they never lie to us. They are the ultimate safe space. I’m looking forward to seeing the ways these horses continue to show up for our group members! 💗
