Not all tattoos are created the same—and that's okay!
One of the most common questions we hear is:
"Why is my tattoo fading differently than someone else's?"
The answer often comes down to how the tattoo was applied.

Typically created by hand, these tattoos often sit more superficially in the skin and may contain less ink overall.
✨ Apprentice or Beginner Tattoos
Artists are still learning depth, saturation, and technique, which can result in variations in ink placement and density.
✨ Home Tattoo Kits
Tattoos done outside a professional studio can vary significantly depending on the equipment, ink quality, and experience of the person applying them.
✨ Professional Studio Tattoos
Generally the most consistent in depth and saturation. High-quality pigments and proper application often create bold, long-lasting tattoos.
✨ Cover-Ups
These tattoos usually contain multiple layers of ink and may require additional fading or removal sessions.
✨ Cosmetic Tattoos (PMU)
Microblading, lip blush, and permanent makeup use different pigments that can behave differently during removal.
Every tattoo tells a story, and every tattoo removal journey is unique. The way a tattoo was created can influence how it fades—but there is no "good" or "bad" tattoo. Understanding the differences simply helps set realistic expectations for the removal process.
