For patients facing colorectal surgery, a smaller incision and the possibility of a smoother recovery can mean getting back sooner to the people and moments that matter most.

AdventHealth North Pinellas recently performed its first colectomy using the da Vinci Single Port robotic system, the first procedure of its kind in Pinellas County. This approach can help patients experience less visible scarring and reduced postoperative discomfort.

Bringing this technology closer to home gives patients and their loved ones another option for advanced surgical care without having to travel far from the support systems they rely on.

This milestone was made possible by Dr. Luv Hajirawala, physician leaders and the operating room team who work together to bring compassionate, whole-person care to every stage of a patient’s journey.

A recent beam signing for AdventHealth New Port Richey ER marked an important step toward making that care easier to reach.

When the new facility opens, local families will have another option for emergency care close to where they live, bringing added peace of mind when the unexpected happens.

The beam signing was more than a construction milestone. It was a reminder of what this new ER will mean for the people who will one day walk through its doors: timely care, compassionate support and a trusted place to turn when it matters most.

A strong school year starts with a caring community. ✏️

AdventHealth North Pinellas was honored to partner with the Tarpon Springs Police Department for the Kutz & Kicks event, helping local children and families prepare for the upcoming school year.

From haircuts, new shoes and backpacks to helmets and hygiene kits, families received resources to help their children feel confident, supported and ready for success. One of the highlights of the day was seeing the excitement on each child's face as they selected their own items and captured back-to-school memories with family photos.

We're grateful to the Tarpon Springs Police Department and all of the community partners who made this event possible. Together, we're supporting the well-being of local families, both inside and outside our hospital walls.

We recently celebrated the newest graduates of the Health Care Explorers program. Throughout the year, these students gained hands-on experience, explored a variety of healthcare careers and learned from AdventHealth North Pinellas team members who shared their time and expertise.

One graduate will soon begin a new chapter as an AdventHealth North Pinellas team member, a meaningful example of how mentorship can open doors and inspire a lasting calling to care for others.

For patients facing complex blood vessel conditions, less invasive treatment can mean a lot more than a procedure. It can mean avoiding major surgery and recovering with less disruption.

That is now possible for more people at AdventHealth North Pinellas, where the hospital's first GORE TAG Thoracic Branch Endoprosthesis procedure was recently completed. This milestone reflects a care option designed to help people heal with smaller incisions and a smoother recovery.

We are grateful to Dr. John Forcella, Dr. Melanie Nukala and everyone on the care team whose skill made this possible, and especially grateful for the difference it can make for patients and families in our community.
