Open Door recently hosted From Spiritual Care to Modern Medicine, an engaging storytelling program that explored 250 years of healing in our community. This experience traced the evolution of care, from early spiritual practices to today’s modern medicine, bringing to life the people, traditions, and milestones that have shaped local healthcare. Through rich storytelling from Joyce Sharrock Cole and a group of amazing actors, attendees gained historical insight and a deeper appreciation for the enduring commitment to healing in Ossining. This event was a beautiful way to celebrate both our nation’s 250th anniversary and Open Door’s half century of service. Once again, thank you to Joyce Sharrock Cole or her engaging storytelling and the talented actors who brought this story to life.
