Hundreds of 2026 NAMIWalks (National Alliance on Mental Illness) events across the nation raised over $16.5 million to support mental health programs. As a proud sponsor of NAMIWalks Massachusetts, our team spends one Saturday morning every May walking shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow mental health advocates. Gathering each year with others who share our passion for expanding mental health services and education always brings us so much joy. 💙

The 2026 NAMIWalks season was the biggest to date raising more funds than ever before, and earning its spot as the 26th largest peer-to-peer fundraiser in the United States! NAMIWalks is just one of the many ways we partner with our community to deliver vital behavioral health care.

Community behavioral health services play an essential role in keeping our communities safe, but recent funding cuts are placing those vital resources at risk.

Members of our leadership team recently shared concerns about the impact of budget cuts to behavioral health services with our local and state legislators: U.S. Representative Jake Auchincloss, State Senator Kelly Dooner, and State Representative Lisa Field.

Our President and CEO Andrew Dawley, Chief Operating Officer Kevin Medeiros, and Vice President of Housing and Community Initiatives Ellen Bruder-Moore Abramowitz shared our complete continuum of care, and the direct impact our programs have on individuals and families every single day.

CCBC has fulfilled behavioral health needs for vulnerable residents in Southeastern Massachusetts for 56 years. When budget cuts hit mental health service providers, unmet needs are felt directly in communities through longer waitlists to access services, program closures, and increased demand.

We will continue working closely with our legislative partners to advocate for access to high-quality behavioral health services for everyone in our community.
