Elizabeth is a Family Nurse Practitioner, certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Master's of Nursing from Samford University in Homewood, Alabama, where she was also inducted to Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Florida (Go Gators) in 2009. She al

so has a bachelor degree in Spanish and another bachelor degree in print journalism. Prior to nursing, she worked as a newspaper reporter and won multiple first- and second-place writing awards, including the Shining Star award. Her nursing career includes more than 5 years working in the level one Trauma-Surgical ICU at Shands at the University of Florida, helping to treat the sickest of the sick. She then spent several years working as a travel nurse, landing as an Assistant Nurse Manager at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital in Orlando. Perhaps one of her favorite jobs was as a summer camp nurse for many summers at Warren Willis United Methodist Camp in Fruitland Park, where now as an APRN she continues to serve as the camp's health center director. For nearly half a decade, she served as the sole NP at a local pediatric office managing multiple acute and chronic primary care conditions. As an autonomous NP, she is thrilled to be able to open her own clinic and meet the health care needs of her patients.

1 week warning! Next week, I am out for my annual work-all-week-at-camp week! I will have limited cell service and will be busy all day (and night) with hundreds of campers and counselors.
I will not be able to send referrals, give copies of shot records or physicals, or do medication refills so now is the time to get all of that done! Please do not wait until Friday and if you think you need an appointment, do it ASAP.

If you have a newborn during the week of June 15th, please email [email protected] and we can work on scheduling.

We've been seeing lots of swimmer's ear! Here's an old post with a trick to help prevent it now that swim season is here!

Want to enjoy swimming and water play and not have to worry about getting swimmer's ear? Make your own homemade drops! Equal parts rubbing alcohol and white vinegar will help keep swimmer's ear away! I keep a bottle of it and just use a few drops any time we swim. The alcohol helps dry the water up and the vinegar helps keep bacteria from forming. And for anyone curious, the fancy medical term for swimmer's ear is otitis externa.
But if your child has tubes or a possible eardrum perforation, they should skip these drops.

We are closing early today -- my kids have a dentist appointment -- and opening at 1045 tomorrow as I have to drop my daughter off at camp for the summer for her camp counselor job!

First, thank you all for your kind birthday wishes as I turned 29 again!

Secondly, like many of you, my schedule is crazy with end-of-school events and activities. Mom life!
This Thursday, my son has a field trip to the beach with his class (how did my school never do this!?). Then that leads to Memorial Day weekend.

This Thursday, Friday, and next Monday (Memorial Day) we are closed. Please, please plan ahead and get appointments today and don't wait for the last minute!

I cannot refill routine medications or send referrals or print shot records and physicals from my cell phone so if you are out of medication, need referrals, your child has had a cold for 3 weeks and just not getting better, need shot records, etc., please call so we can get you in today or this week. If we do not answer, we are likely busy with other patients or on the other lines. Leave a voicemail and we will get back with you!

Next Thursday, May 28, my son has an end-of-school event in the morning. We are opening at 1 p.m. that day.

We have worked through lunch today and are now closed so Elizabeth can get her annual eye exam. Make sure your eye exam is up to date also! 👓

For the next several Fridays (until May 22), our lunch hour will be from 130-230 so Elizabeth can do school pickup!
