đŁ Why do your heels hurt when you first get out of bed?
If your first few steps in the morning are the most uncomfortable, youâre not alone. Heel pain can sometimes be related to irritation or tightness in the tissues that support the bottom of the foot, including the plantar fascia.
After resting overnight, these tissues may feel tighter, making those first steps more noticeable. As you begin moving, the discomfort may temporarily easeâonly to return after long periods of standing or activity.
Persistent heel pain shouldnât be ignored, especially if itâs affecting the way you walk or limiting your daily activities.
