Happy belated 4th of July!!! I was in Jacksonville with family. I then went fishing and caught some monster fish. I had to retake the picture because my shirt was tucked in and I didn’t like the belly 🫣. Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th.

We have oak, pine and bald cypress. You could also argue that grass is in the mix. However, at the moment, tree season has started but is not in full swing. That is because our #2 most allergenic tree hasn’t started to pollenate. Can you guess was the second most allergenic tree is in Central Florida??? Hint is in the pics.

This is why I like epinephrine. Also, I worked an ER shift this weekend in central Florida. I saw much less in terms of viral Upper Respiratory infections than I did in December. I’m not an epidemiologist, but it’s what I’ve been seeing. Stay safe. Also, tree season is here, just not sure it’s oak yet…

Highlights from this week pollen collector. There is pine, bald Cypress, and there may be some ragweed.

Yeah, water oak trees are starting to have pods. I am looking at the pollen collector to see if it is starting to pollinate.

Tree season has arrived in central Florida. This is primarily loblolly pine and some bald cypress.

I have recently noticed that the Elm trees have started to drop some pods. I am very interested to see whether they have pollen in them and if that is going to be seen within my pollen collector. To date, we have not had any tree pollen. However, I wonder if Elm might be starting early. More to come…
