Meet Maggie Bolt, LPCA!

Maggie uses child-centered play therapy to help children navigate big emotions, difficult experiences, and life's transitions, partnering closely with parents throughout.

"I enjoy working with children experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral concerns, life transitions, school-related challenges, and family changes. I believe parents and caregivers are an essential part of a child's growth and healing, and I value partnering closely with families throughout the counseling process."

Maggie sees clients on Tuesday afternoons. Join us in welcoming her to the team and feel free to reach out on our website for scheduling.

If you have contacted our office, you've probably heard from Martha! Martha is our Intake Coordinator and she is now officially a counseling intern as well! Join us in congratulating Martha on reaching this milestone. She has positively impacted our community through her administrative work and we know she'll make an impact on the counseling side of things as well!

If you know someone who needs counseling services at a reduced rate, Martha has availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She currently works with adults and couples.

You may picture summertime as a relaxing, slower season. For many of us, it can bring stress, disrupted routines, childcare changes, financial pressure and sometimes emotional overwhelm.

If summer feels harder than you expected, give yourself permission to simplify where you can and protect your schedule. As in every season, being outside, exercising, eating well and getting enough sleep are major boosters for our mental well-being!

"Simplicity Parenting is an important guide for parents today because it directly addresses why kids' nervous systems are overwhelmed and overstimulated. I appreciate how it gives practical steps for how parents can help reduce anxiety for their kids." - Kaitlyn Fiedler, LPCA

May is Mental Health Awareness Month - a reminder that caring for your mind is just as important as caring for your body.

Life gets busy, and it’s easy to push our own needs to the side. Taking time to rest, set boundaries, ask for help, or simply check in with yourself are all meaningful steps.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to start feeling better. Small, consistent changes can make a real difference.

Consider this your sign to consider your mental health!

With deep sadness, we share that a beloved member of our counseling team, Elizabeth Robison, has passed away. Her compassion, wisdom, and care touched so many lives - both within our practice and throughout the Greenville community. We are deeply grateful to have worked alongside her for the past five years, and we join many others in praying for and supporting her family during this time. We will miss her greatly!

Even if every concern you have for your child isn't resolved completely through counseling, the tools learned will benefit your relationship with them long-term!

What comes to mind when you ask yourself this question? Stress is a part of life - but staying overwhelmed doesn’t have to be.

When stress starts to build, try this:
• Pause and take a few slow, deep breaths
• Step outside for fresh air, even for a few minutes
• Write down what’s on your mind to clear mental clutter
• Focus on what you can control right now

Small, intentional moments can make a big difference in how your mind and body feel.

If stress has been feeling constant or hard to manage, you don’t have to handle it alone. Support can help you find steadiness again.

Self-esteem starts with the ability to make your own decisions. We want our children and teens to have self-esteem but sometimes we struggle to give them the necessary space to develop in this area. You can watch / listen to Adam and Jonathan's conversation (on helping teens take ownership) on our website!

Sleep isn’t a luxury - it’s a foundation for your mental health.

When you’re well-rested, your mind is better equipped to manage stress, regulate emotions, and stay focused. When sleep is lacking, anxiety feels louder, patience feels shorter, and everything feels heavier.

Prioritizing sleep is one of the simplest ways to support your emotional well-being, improve mood, and build resilience.

If you’ve been running on empty, it may be time to ask yourself: Am I giving my mind the rest it needs?
