At our funeral home, we believe families deserve more than a transaction — they deserve compassion, care, and personal connection. As a privately owned, family-style business, we are proud to serve our community with the same values you would expect from a true “mom and pop” establishment: honesty, respect, and genuine relationships.

To us, the families we plan to serve will never be just names on paperwork or numbers in a system. They will be neighbors, friends, and people we have the privilege of getting to know during some of life’s most difficult moments. We want to take the time to listen, guide, and support each family with the personal attention they deserve.

We are also committed to providing affordable services without sacrificing quality. Every family should have access to meaningful, dignified care, and we will work hard to offer exceptional service at a fair and reasonable cost.

Good morning!

Our community has such a rich and meaningful history, and we would love to help preserve and celebrate it inside our funeral home!

We are currently looking for historic photographs of Taylorsville and any surrounding towns/communities to proudly display throughout our building. Whether it’s old downtown photos, churches, schools, family businesses, community events, landmarks, or everyday moments from years gone by — we would be honored to share these memories with the families we serve.

These photographs tell the story of the people and places that shaped our communities, and we believe they deserve to be remembered and appreciated.

If you have any historic photos you would be willing to share or allow us to copy, please send us a message or leave it in the comments. We would truly appreciate your help in making our space feel even more connected to the community we love so much.

Coming soon to Taylorsville, Mississippi: Musgrove Funeral Home!!!

What began as a word from God when John Musgrove was 12 years, now together, John and his fiancée Emily are seeing this dream become reality.

We are 100% family owned and operated, and dedicated to serving the families of Smith County and surrounding counties.

Our pledge to you is to be a full serving funeral establishment with the intention of offering lower prices, but superior service to every single family. We intend to offer pre-arranged services to ensure that your decisions are known and financial burdens are eliminated.

We have been working to bring this to the people of Smith County for a while and we still have a little further yet before our doors will be open to you. We will have the newest, state-of the-art facility in Smith County because we believe that you deserve the very best.
