Well yall, its been a long a stressful last couple of weeks on my end. I've been feeling some type of way for the last few days...but then I went by heritage deli and grabbed a salad and a tasty lotus drink and this was on the cup!

Never forget that no matter how dark your days, weeks and months get, God's plan is bigger than all of it. Let him guide your footsteps and watch your days get brighter and your feet get lighter! As always, I'll be praying for you all. Have a wonderful day everyone!

If there's one thing I've learned over the years, its that sometimes you have to remove yourself from certain people and places to protect your own peace of mind. While it could just be temporarily or sometimes permanent, its sometimes necessary to protect yourself and recharge before you go back into a situation.

So, protect your peace today. Whether you step away for a quick massage reset, go get a pedi or just grab a quick cup of coffee, take a moment to breathe and find your peace...

The Alexander County Economic Development and The Taylorsville Times are partnering again this year to promote local businesses through the Twelfth Annual Alexander County Readers’ Choice Awards.

“Have a favorite restaurant, a favorite mechanic, a favorite clothing store? Share your favorite Alexander County business by casting your vote for the Reader’s Choice Awards!” urged Connie Kincaid, ACED Business Development Manager.

Please take the survey on Pages 5-6B in this week’s edition of The Times and also available starting August 5 online at www.alexanderedc.org/survey, and list your favorite Alexander County business for each of the categories. Please make every effort to complete the ballot in its entirety, but please don’t take the survey multiple times. Let’s keep it fair!

A random survey respondent will be chosen as a $50 winner and announced in The Taylorsville Times on August 12, 19, and 26, 2026 (more than half of the categories must be completed to be eligible to win).
