Statement from High Point Residence Taylorville
High Point Residence Taylorville is aware of an incident involving one of our PRN night Certified Nursing Assistants. Upon learning of the matter, the employee was immediately suspended pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation.
We want to clarify that the incident did not occur at High Point Residence Taylorville, did not occur while the employee was on duty, and did not involve any residents or any other staff members from our community.
We have notified the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) and are cooperating fully with all applicable regulatory agencies and local law enforcement. High Point Residence Taylorville is committed to providing any assistance necessary to support a thorough and appropriate investigation.
The safety, security, and well-being of our residents and team members remain our highest priorities. We understand that incidents of this nature are concerning to residents, families, employees, and the community. While this matter is unrelated to the care provided within our community, we take all concerns involving our employees seriously and acted promptly upon becoming aware of the situation.
At this time, there is no immediate threat to our community, and normal operations continue. Residents continue to receive the high-quality care and services they expect from High Point Residence Taylorville.
Because this is an active investigation, we are unable to provide additional details at this time. We appreciate the professionalism of law enforcement and regulatory authorities and will continue to cooperate fully throughout the investigative process.
