A well-deserved spotlight on rural healthcare partnership! ICAHN member Taylorville Memorial Hospital has been named the recipient of the 2026 Community Partner Award from University of Illinois Extension in Christian County.

For the past decade, Taylorville Memorial Hospital has partnered with Illinois Extension to advance health and wellness in its community—from nutrition education and chronic disease prevention to hands-on programs that bring residents together.

Loved welcoming Taylorville CUSD #3 teachers & staff back to school this week! Our TMH team offered health and wellness resources, free sun damage screenings & more. Taylorville Police Department officer Dees even gave the Spin Art & Smoothie Bike a whirl. Best wishes to students, staff & families for a great school year!

We're still inspired by the overwhelming attendance we saw at this year's event! Nearly 250 children received free backpacks & school supplies, more than 50 students got free haircuts plus 30 vision and hearing screenings were provided. Shout-out to the 27 community partners who pitched in to help connect local families w/resources that help students succeed – not just one day, but all school year long.

The smiles say it all! This multi-generational team from Stonington First Baptist crushed the May Walking Challenge. 1728 miles! Join us for the next one in October.

Ten members of First Baptist Stonington walked 1,728 miles in May during Memorial Hospital’s Mindful Miles Walking Challenge.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Taylorville Memorial Hospital Back 2 School Health & Resource Fair at the Christian County YMCA a success! Thanks to Operation Loaded Book Bag, close to 250 kids went home with free backpacks and school supplies.
