Denise Mari Hubbs, 71, of Tecumseh, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. She was born on Wednesday, September 1, 1954, and was preceded in death by her parents, Acil Goff and Patricia Cole.

Denise was a devoted wife to Robert A. Hubbs and a loving mother to Cory Hubbs, Neil Hubbs, and Ryan Hubbs. She is also survived by her brothers Jim Goff and his wife Cindy, Jerry Goff and his wife Sydney, and Brian Goff, along with many beloved nieces and nephews, The Kramer Family (Kelly, Ray, Madison Tyler and James) and her cherished friends, Mary Minnock and Elaine Cassidy.

A retired dental hygienist, Denise dedicated much of her career to working with children. She possessed many talents, especially in cooking and baking, and enjoyed watching cooking shows and collecting cookbooks and recipes. Among her creative gifts, she was skilled at decorating wedding cakes and writing beautiful calligraphy with a fountain pen, talents she often shared with family and friends for special occasions.

Denise had a deep appreciation for all things British, shaped in part by the time she spent living in England with her husband during his service in the Air Force in the late 1970s. As the oldest of four siblings with three younger brothers and the mother of three sons, she embraced life as a proud "boy mom."

Denise found joy through all her senses. She loved the taste of Thanksgiving dinner and strawberry shortcake. She enjoyed listening to Carole King's album Tapestry and the sound of birds. She delighted in the scent of lilacs and freshly baked goods. She appreciated the sight of beautiful views and flower gardens. She found comfort in the feeling of a soft blanket and in petting a dog.

An avid dog lover, Denise had a special place in her heart for pugs. In her memory, donations may be made to the Michigan Humane Society at michiganhumane.org.

Denise was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She was known for her generous spirit and gentle soul, and she will be greatly missed. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and later interred with her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. She did not wish for a funeral. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
