The Gross Motor Animal cards I made for the ⚽ Kids in Action soccer league by ⚽ were such a hit, so I made a spooky Halloween version for our practice next week!!!

These cards are MOTIVATING- kids get to take turns picking a card and sharing it with the other kids, so they don't realize that they are also FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS!

They incorporate MOVEMENT, which helps kids learn and also allows them a chance to get up, stretch, release some energy, and then they are better able to focus again!

They encourage IMITATION and learning of different VERBS and HALLOWEEN VOCABULARY.

They are really great for kids of all ages.

🌜🌛 One of the first and most important things I discuss with parents is interacting with their children face-to-face and at their child's eye level as much as possible.

This encourages:
👉 Opportunities for communication
👉 Kids to understand that they have their parents attention and will be heard if they attempt to communicate
👉 Imitation of nonverbal communication (facial expression, body language, gestures)
👉 MORE ACCURATE IMITATION OF SOUNDS AND WORDS when kids can see parents mouths
👉 Opportunities for kids to enjoy the reactions of parents to their communication attempts
👉 Opportunities for EYE CONTACT, which increases joint attention and helps to regulate TURN-TAKING

So don't be afraid to get on the floor and play!!

🤗 So excited to share some of my new water bottles with these amazing mommas who participated in an event with .

Vivid Running is a local business here in Temecula. It was formed by some of my new favorite people that are truly passionate about fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness.

We are excited to be able to give back to the community and are teaming up to put on some really cool events, like the upcoming Kids in Action Soccer League. Expect some adorable pictures of our little soccer stars soon!!
